As a College Station-based engagement and wedding photographer, I made the short drive out to Brenham for this session — and I will do it a million times again. Old Baylor Park offers the most beautiful variety of backdrops, from towering oak trees that filter the sunlight perfectly to elegant white pillars and classic steps that create a refined, romantic feel. When golden hour hits, the entire park glows in the dreamiest way.

This session was especially meaningful because we ended up rescheduling three different times, due to weather. This couple had their hearts set on that beautiful golden hour lighting, and they were willing to wait for it — that patience paid off. The evening we finally captured their session, the light wrapped around them with a stunning golden haze, creating images that feel warm, timeless, and effortlessly romantic.

Not to mention, romantic is the perfect word for these two. Ashlyn & Parker naturally gravitate toward each other — quiet laughs between kisses, gentle forehead touches, they have the kind of chemistry you can feel immediately.

What really added a spark to their session was how playful they were together. In between the soft, intimate moments, he threw her over his shoulders, they spun around under the trees, and we incorporated fun, movement-based prompts that brought out their laughter and personality. Those carefree moments add so much dimension to their gallery and create a perfect balance of dreamy and joyful.
